Overview

The Manitowish Waters Alliance Foundation (MWAF) is committed to protecting your personal information. This document describes the types of information we will collect, use, and disclosure in order to provide you with the most effective online experience.  This system allows YOU to manage "who" sees "what" elements of your personal/contact information.  We will not knowingly share your personal information with other third-party solicitors or others not directly connected with delivering you the information you need to get the most out of your Alliance membership.  

Collection, use and disclosure of personal information

We will collect your contact information including: mailing address, preferred Directory address, mobile phone number(s), email address(es), and your preferred method of contact (mail, email, mobile).  We will also collect annual membership information: renewal period, membership renewal date, membership payment amount, payment method (check, cash), payment received date, check number, check Financial institution name.  And we will collect information about the events you attend and donations made.

We collect this information to enable us to effectively manage our Alliance memberships, events/registrations, and donations.  We will only share this information with you (electronically or manually), unless directed/approved by you in advance.  You can select the member profile information you would like shared publicly.  

We use your personal information to provide you with personalized service; to send e-mail alerts to you; to answer your requests; to process your membership application; etc. You may choose to opt out at any time, which will cease all communications from us.

At some time in the future and when our website achieves more widespread member use, we may also use your information to track your visits to our website. This would allow us to see which of our features are the most popular so we might better serve your needs. Currently, Google simply provides us with cumulative data showing how many times anyone has visited our website. 

Manitowish Waters Alliance Foundation members, and public individuals that register for any of our paid events by providing us with their personal contact information (such as name, mobile number and/or e-mail address) are automatically opted-in to receive our electronic communications . We may use this information for specific, limited purposes such as providing information about upcoming event announcements. Anyone may always "opt out" at any time if they do not wish to receive our communications.

Third-party applications

The personal data that is collected and stored through this website is managed and protected by the third-party website and application provider - Wild Apricot. 

Email privacy

The Manitowish Waters Alliance Foundation does not provide, sell, or rent email addresses to anyone outside the organization.

These links do not fall under our domain, and as such, the Manitowish Waters Alliance Foundation is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of external websites. Notations are provided on all of our web pages where you may choose to follow a link to an external site.  Your use of any linked website is solely at your own risk.

We may amend this privacy policy from time to time; please review it periodically. We maintain the option to modify this privacy at any time by electronic notice posted on our website. Your continued use of our website after the date that such notices are posted will be deemed to be your agreement to the changed terms.
