FRIENDSHIP, COMMUNITY, GIVING
The Manitowish Waters Alliance Foundation is proud to be the premier organization that connects our members to needs of the community. We offer our more than 300 individual members opportunities to participate in various social and volunteer events throughout the year, all focused on raising funds to support our town.
Whether you are a full-time or a seasonal resident, you'll find a welcoming place within our membership of like-minded people who love our "gem of the Northwoods."
We are blessed by the beauty and serenity of our lakes, woods, rivers, and we love the myriad of activities and sports these natural resources provide!
Established in 1972, and "re-imagined" in 2020, our club is run by member-volunteers. We are small enough to be friendly and inclusive but big enough to make a difference to our members and in our community.
The Manitowish Waters Alliance Foundation is a United States 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.

The MW Waters Alliance Foundation is proud to be a long-time supporter of our great Fire Department. At their recent meeting, Fire Chief Bob Skrobot was presented with a $1,000 check by Terry Mueller (VP, Alliance) towards the MWFD's ongoing campaign to raise $100,000 for an airboat to “enhance our life saving capabilities. . . our greatest challenge." Using borrowed or loaner boats is no longer efficient or safe. "We must own a boat made for life-rescue purposes and operational 24/7 365 days a year.” An airboat made specifically for these purposes will cost ~$100,000.
Thank you Alliance members for making this donation possible!
